Acrestep is an independent revision aid. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, City & Guilds, NPTC or Lantra. “PA1”, “PA2” and similar unit names are used only to describe the subject. We do not use any awarding body's logos.
Not a substitute for training
Acrestep helps you revise. It does not replace accredited training, supervised practice or the assessment itself. Passing practice questions does not mean you will pass an assessment or that you are competent to use pesticides.
Always follow the label and the law
Product labels, legislation and official guidance change. When you use or handle pesticides, follow the label on the product in front of you, the safety data sheet, your employer's procedures and the law that applies where you work. If anything here seems to disagree with a current label or an official source, follow the label and the official source, and tell us.
Our questions are original
Every question is written by us from public sources. They are not past papers and they are not the real assessment questions. The PA1 mock exam is modelled on the published test specification, and the real assessment can differ. PA2 is assessed by a practical observation with oral questions, so there is no PA2 mock exam: Acrestep PA2 helps you revise the knowledge and the calculations behind the assessment, and does not replace practice on a real sprayer with your trainer.
Calculations use made-up numbers
The calibration and quantities questions use numbers we invent so you can practise the method. On a real job, use the figures on the product label, your sprayer's manual and nozzle chart, and check your own working.
