Who we are
Acrestep is provided by Skrivon Ltd, trading as Acrestep, registered in England and Wales, company number 17461746, registered office 105 Loachbrook Farm Way, Congleton, England, CW12 4BF. Contact: hello@acrestep.co.uk.
What you are buying
Lifetime access (see “What lifetime access means” below) to the practice for one unit. Each unit is bought separately, and you can buy only the ones you need:
- Acrestep PA1 Mock Test, £9.99: Every practice question, with a reason for each answer; Timed mock exams and untimed practice; Weak-topic rounds and your results history.
- Acrestep PA2 Revision, £7.99: Practice questions on every part of the unit, with a plain-English reason for each answer; Calibration and quantities maths with new numbers every time, worked through step by step; A coverage tracker for every part of the unit; Weak-topic rounds and your results history.
Acrestep is an independent revision aid. It is not an official test, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by City & Guilds, NPTC or Lantra, and it does not replace accredited training. Only PA1 has a mock exam, because only PA1 is assessed by a written test. See the disclaimer.
Price and payment
The price of each unit is shown above and on its page, paid once as a single payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Payments are taken by Stripe, on our page, and we never see your card details. You need an account (your email address) so your purchase is saved to you. You must be 16 or over.
Access starts straight away, and your 14-day right to cancel
This is digital content that you can use as soon as you pay. At checkout we ask you to confirm: “I want to start using Acrestep PA1 straight away. I understand that once I get access I lose my 14-day right to cancel. My statutory rights are not affected.” (the unit name changes to match what you are buying). Once access begins, you lose the 14-day right to cancel that normally applies to online purchases. This does not affect your other legal rights. Our refund policy explains what else we offer.
What “lifetime access” means
You can use each unit you buy for as long as we run Acrestep. We will keep the questions up to date where we can. If we decide to close the service, or to stop offering a unit you have bought, we will give at least 12 months' notice by email and on the website.
Using the service
- Your account is for you alone. Please do not share your sign-in or resell access.
- Do not copy, scrape or republish the questions or explanations.
- Do not try to break, overload or get around the service.
- Acrestep is written for the UK: the units, laws and guidance it covers are UK ones.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing your sign-in, reselling access or copying the questions. We will tell you why by email and, where it is reasonable, give you a chance to put it right first. If we close your account for any other reason we will refund what you paid for the units on it.
Accuracy, and no guarantee
We write every question from public sources such as legislation and HSE guidance, and check them carefully. Rules and guidance change, and we can make mistakes. If you spot one, tell us using “Report a problem with this question” and we will look at it. We cannot promise that you will pass an assessment. Always follow the product label and the law that applies to you when you actually use pesticides.
Our responsibility
Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability for anything the law does not allow us to limit (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence). Otherwise we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, and not for losses that were not foreseeable or for business losses. If digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or compensate you.
Changes
We may update these terms. A change will not reduce what you have already paid for. If a change matters we will tell you.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and local consumer law applies to you.
