PA4 revision

Mounted or trailed granule and slug pellet applicators: revision for the oral questions, and calibration maths.

£5.99 once, when it opens

What to expect

PA4 covers applying pelleted and granular pesticides, including slug pellets, with mounted or trailed applicators: placement (PA4A) and broadcast (PA4B). You take it after PA1. Pedestrian hand-held granule and pellet applicators are PA6G, part of PA6.

It is assessed on the day by an independent assessor watching you work and asking you questions. There is no written test.

Acrestep PA4 will give you practice questions on the knowledge behind the questions you are asked, and calibration and quantity calculations with fresh numbers every time. Slug pellet questions cover Great Britain, where metaldehyde slug pellets have not been legal to sell or use outdoors since 1 April 2022.

How the real assessment works

The City & Guilds assessment is a practical observation with oral questions, one to one with an independent assessor. There is no written test.

Acrestep is an independent revision aid. It is not the real assessment and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, City & Guilds, NPTC or Lantra. Check the current requirements with your training provider.
